The speargun is usually the most expensive item in your list of gear to get, so getting one that is second hand can be a massive saving. However, it can also be a big mistake if the gun hasn’t been well looked after, or if you pay a premium for it. Buying a second hand gun from a fishing or spearfishing store is sometimes a good idea, because they will usually test it out and ensure that it is in full working condition.

Often people will also sell guns that have been sitting in their sheds and never used, meaning you get a new gun for a second hand price. It just comes down to a bit of research and you will win the game time after time!
