Essential Oils – Black Spruce – An Oil of Prosperity

Spruce (Picea mariana) is in the pine family of botanical plants. The oil is obtained through steam distillation of the branches, needs and twigs. Black Spruce is a naturally growing tree in Canada. It is typically found in wet, swampy areas where the wild growing trees can grow up to 15 meters in height. Traditionally the Lakota Indians used spruce to strengthen their ability to communicate with the Great Spirit. They believed spruce possesses the frequency of prosperity.
