Nowadays, the event market space is dominated by fancy dress and theme parties. These events have become immensely popular among the party-going communities. Incorporating a theme to a party adds a lot of flair and finesse into an event in today’s world. These elements make a party an enjoyable experience which makes it a memorable for the guests as well. If all the arrangements are done in a proper manner a party can turn into a huge success. A lot of people get inspired by such events and also throw similar parties.

If you get invited to a theme or a fancy dress party the first thing you need to do is decide, what your costume is going to be. The costume you choose should match the theme of the party. Generally, there are three ways in order to get the costume of your desire.

1. DIY (Do It Yourself)
2. Hiring
3. Buying

1. DIY: – The first thing you can do is to fashion the costume by yourself. Depending upon the intricateness of the costume and your capabilities with a needle and a sewing machine you can make a DIY (Do It Yourself) costume. There are also handy kits available in the market to give you guidelines on how to make your own costume.

When people are invited to come to a costume party or a theme party, their initial thought goes into finding a costume from hire shops. There are people who also consider buying a fancy dress costume instead of hiring one.  In order to make the correct decision, the best way is to go through the various advantages and disadvantages of each of these methods.

2. Hiring: – If you are planning to hire a costume for a theme party, then you might just have found a very convenient way to dress in such occasions.  The advantage here is that, you can return it after the party is over.

However, this method has a few disadvantages as well. If you choose to hire an outfit you won’t get too many options. If you go to a local shop, you might have a very limited number of choices because most of the dresses may already be taken by other party goers. There are also high probabilities of ending up with the same costume your other party goers have selected. Another disadvantage of this method is that, the dress you hire will probably be used and it might not be in mint condition. There are some online shops that offer hiring services and that maybe an option but there are some hassles involved in returning.

3. Buying:- If you want to buy the costume from an on-line fancy dress shop you can get a massive range of fancy dress costumes, props and accessories to choose from. So you might have a bunch of different ideas but you don’t have to go through the hassles of collecting and having to return the fancy dress costume in a proper condition afterwards.
