Is it Time For Bedroom Closet Organization?

Many people are looking for a solution to their bedroom closet organization issues. One of the most frustrating things is being unable to find something when you are in a hurry to get ready for work. Not only that, but also many people do not even know what is in their closet. Things get thrown in and forgotten about. Another problem is that items of clothing are so jammed together that everything requires ironing when it comes out of the closet. You may even have some old treasures in there that can fetch a few dollars on eBay.

Bedroom closet organization will solve your closet nightmare. It may also be a step towards becoming a more organized person all around. One of the first steps to take before purchasing anything is to remove the clutter. Remove any items of clothing that are no longer in fashion. Donate them to a charity or second hand store. Anything that does not fit or things that you are holding on from your teen years, these need to be discarded as well. Donate or sell them. Once you have done your purging, you can then sort the remaining items into seasonal or color or by outfit. How you sort them is up to you. Just come up with some plan that works for you and is easily identifiable for you when you open the closet.

Bedroom closet organization should include the following:

o Wire or see through baskets for easy retrieval

o Tie and or belt rack

o Hooks for scarves

o Clothing rods for hangers

o Shelves with dividers

o Shoe cubbies

o Different length hanging units

You may find that you need other types of storage devices; the idea is to create a closet that works for you. Some things that you should not do in your revamped closet include not using cheap plastic hangers that break easily. Try not to hang your clothes too tightly together and do not put too much into the drawers as well. You could end up creasing the clothes or getting something caught in a drawer. Sweaters should not be hung on a hanger, fold them and stack them on a shelf, this is one reason why bedroom closet organization was required in the first place because you did not have the room to properly store your clothing. However, do not over do it and acquire too many storage devices.

When planning your bedroom closet organization, you do not need to spend a lot of money. There are solutions for every budget. You can have an organizer custom made specifically for your closet or you can go to a retailer, buy a simple design right off the shelf, and install it yourself. The systems come in wood, plastic or coated wire.
