What Is Your Favorite Parker Fountain Pen?

In offices and corporate boardrooms all over the world you are sure to find a beautiful Parker Fountain pen. The Parker Pen Company has been producing high quality fashionable writing utensils since 1888. A lot has changed in Wisconsin, the original home of the exclusive Parker Fountain Pens. Due to some corporate re-structuring the operation has been moved to Europe, in England to be exact.

The fountain pen has been the writing utensil of choice before it was later eclipsed by your ball point pen that you see prevalent in today’s society.

In high society at the turn of the 1900’s Parker Fountain Pens were something to be adored and admired. They were as much a fashion accessory as an object to capture good notes with. They have been manufactured all over the world. They have had factories in European countries as well as Asia and even in Canada.

The average pen manufacturer can’t match the attention to detail, and the Parker name that they have built up over generations of producing quality.

In later years the company actually made an attempt towards the entry-level pen customer. It was definitely short-lived. They have turned the majority of their manufacturing efforts towards a more exclusive, affluent client base. This makes the new Parker Fountain Pens an even more sought after item.

The innovative minds over at Parker have been coming up with patented products for years. They even had the patent for the first a quick drying ink labeled Quink. This was unseen before and made them a must have item. Blotting used to be such a pain when composing documents, now the customer no longer had to worry about it.

Some of the all time favorite models are the Duofold, Executive, and Parker Duette. These pens help make Parker into the world-class leader they are today.

The newest pen to steal the show in my opinion is the Parker Latitude. It boasts a four coated colored lacquer finish which really stands out. This finish is attached to a stainless steel base and gives the pen dignity, grace and style.

What I really like is the detailed cap. It has a circular pattern which is very unique and breaks conventional norms. For those of us who still would like to maintain originality and poise, but give light to a more unconventional side, the Latitude is for you.

I have been a fan of Parker fountain pens since my father always used to sign and balance his check book with one. I guess since then I have been a fan and they will always have a special place in my heart.
